In the IT world finding vulnerabilities is a day to day occurrence. That’s why things like Windows updates and anti virus are so important. But we thought we’d give you a heads-up on a potentially scary one being released tomorrow called BadLock. It all ties in to how Windows shares files between servers and users. Unfortunately as there’s very little information released so far, we don’t know if it applies to just servers or PCs/Laptops as well.
If you’re a Coffee Cup support customer, don’t worry at all about it – leave your PC, Laptop or Server left on tomorrow night and we’ll patch it for you.
If you’re not please ensure you run Windows updates on all of your devices tomorrow evening. Usually patches get released at about 6pm UK time. Of course, if you need help just give us a shout.
